Dr. Kristen Tobey, Assistant Professor of Sociology of Religion in the Theology and Religious Studies Department will be giving a lecture titled Activism as Vocation: Religious Resistance in the Nuclear Age. In her talk, Dr. Tobey will explore the significance of Catholic anti-nuclear acts of civil disobedience at nuclear sites, and its relevance for a new generation of activists. The lecture is Tuesday, January 24 at 7 p.m. in Rodman A and it is sponsored by the Peace, Justice and Human Rights Program together with the Theology and Religious Studies Department.
