The John Carroll University Northeast Ohio Broadcast Archives were established in 1988 to
provide a permanent home for television news film and videotape as well as sound recordings
and photographs related to this geographic area.
The collection documents cultural, sports, historic, and atmospheric images from 1958 through 1989 that is primarily news footage.
Originally comprised of 16mm film, ¾” U-Matic tape, photographs, and audio recordings, we have begun work towards digitizing the collection.
As of January 20, 2022, the archives are closed indefinitely.
