Digital Marketing Certificates

The John Carroll University Digital Marketing Certificates take an interdisciplinary approach and combine course work from communication and business to give students an integrated grasp of marketing, communication, public relations, and advertising. Each certificate's unique and flexible curriculum extends beyond the theoretical to provide you with practical knowledge and skills from analysis of market data to content creation.

Whether you’re an established marketing and communications professional, or looking to transition into this fast emerging field, each certificate gives students a marketplace advantage through the convenience of a fully online graduate program and the academic strength of combined JCU faculty: one from the Tim Russert Department of Communication and another from the Boler College of Business.

Offering convenient online classes, each of the three (3) 9-hour graduate certificate programs is shorter than a typical master’s degree, supporting working professionals as they continue in their current careers. Plus, each certificate applies toward the 100% online Master of Science in Digital Marketing and Communication Strategy should you decide to deepen your knowledge beyond one certificate. Experienced faculty bring the real world of marketing into the classroom, allowing students to significantly increase their digital marketing knowledge while learning skills that can be applied immediately.

  • Successful completion of an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution.
  • This program has no set submission deadline. Applications are considered on a rolling basis upon completion. Admission decisions will be made based on space in the program.
  • No GRE Required

Certificate Programs:

  • Each certificate program consists of three required courses (9 credits total).
  • With seven-week online courses, each certificate can be completed in approximately six months.
