Background

Dr. Donou-Adonsou is originally from Togo. He obtained a Ph.D. in Economics from Southern Illinois University in 2014. He also holds an M.B.A., an M.A., a D.E.A. (Diplôme d’Etudes Approfondies), and a B.A. in Economics. Prior to joining John Carroll University in 2016, Dr. Donou-Adonsou has taught at the University of Colorado – Denver, Southern Illinois University – Carbondale, and the University of Lome in Togo. He has also worked as a business consultant for small businesses.

Courses

Dr. Donou-Adonsou teaches business and economics statistics, principles of macroeconomics, principles of microeconomics, and intermediate macroeconomics. His teaching interests also include macroeconomics & monetary economics, economic development, and financial economics.

Research

Dr. Donou-Adonsou’s current research focuses on “Financial development and health: Evidence from macro panel data.” His fields of expertise include macroeconomics & monetary economics, economic development, and financial economics, and his research primarily focuses on finance and development. His work has been published in Quarterly Review of Economics and FinanceReview of Development Finance, Review of Financial Economics, International Advances in Economic Research, Applied Economics, and Journal of Economics.
