Background

Dr. Lim is a native of Cambodia. He used to work as a bank treasurer and a research intern at the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs. Before joining the faculty at John Carroll, he was a graduate student instructor at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.

Courses

Dr. Lim teaches Principles of Macroeconomics and Intermediate Macroeconomics on a regular basis. His teaching interests also include Monetary Economics and Development Economics.

Research

Dr. Lim’s current research agenda includes fiscal policy in a two-country, macro-dynamic model, international migration and remittances, U.S. adoption, and Cambodian agricultural productivity. He also works on other topics in Economic Growth, Monetary Economics, and International Economics. His work has been published in Journal of Macroeconomics, Journal of Human Capital, Mathematical Social Sciences, Economic Inquiry, Economics Bulletin, World Development, Economic Modelling and others.
