Only students who are admitted to John Carroll University as incoming first-year students for the Fall 2022 semester are eligible for this additional grant.

Only students who are United States Citizens are eligible to be awarded this grant.

The FAFSA Filer grant can be stacked on top of any merit-based scholarships a student receives and will go toward the cost of tuition. Scholarships and grants cannot exceed billed expenses (tuition, fees, room and board).

Students who are awarded one or more of the following financial assistance opportunities are not eligible to receive this grant. If a student is awarded a FAFSA Filer grant prior to being awarded one or more of the following financial assistance opportunities, the Early Filer grant will be rescinded.

  • JCU Faculty and Staff Tuition Grant
  • Tuition Exchange Programs including FACHEX, TEP, and CIC-TEP
  • Student Veterans receiving full benefits
  • Veteran dependents receiving full benefits
  • ROTC Scholarships
