Background
Bonnie Gunzenhauser serves as Vice President for Academic Affairs at John Carroll University in University Heights, Ohio. Prior to this role, she served as Dean of Arts and Sciences at John Carroll and as Dean of Arts and Sciences at Roosevelt University in Chicago. An English professor by training, her scholarship focuses on the literature and culture of the long 18th century, the rise of a mass reading public, and on leadership development, academic innovation, and 21st-century approaches to the liberal arts. She holds a BA in English, philosophy, and political science from Luther College and an MA and PhD in English from the University of Chicago.
