What to Expect Each Year
Every year of college brings new milestones, questions, and growth. Here’s a guide to help you support your student through each stage — from move-in day to Commencement.
Your student is building independence, finding their place, and learning to manage new responsibilities. Expect a mix of excitement, homesickness, and growth. Encourage connection to campus through clubs, mentors, and wellness resources.
Students begin narrowing down their academic path and may question their major or career interests. It’s a great time for internships, service learning, and career coaching. Support them by asking open-ended questions about what’s resonating.
Explore Majors & Programs
