Background
Started in broadcasting at the age of 13 in 1977 as a production assistant at the local cable TV studio, advancing to camera, technical director and director.
In 1980 (senior year of high school) hired for first job in radio at the age of 16 at WJER AM/FM Dover-New Philadelphia, OH.
Started Ohio University in 1981 at 17 working towards BSC in Broadcast Communication.
1985 - Joined Air Force and Armed Forces Radio & TV, getting stationed at Torrejon Air Base outside of Madrid, Spain. Work included morning radio show, production, and anchoring 6pm TV news (among other duties).
Former on-air radio work included the aforementioned WJER, plus 97.5 WONE Akron OH, WXTQ FM Athens OH, WOUB AM/FM/TV Athens OH, WENZ 107.9 Cleveland OH, QFM 96 WLVQ Columbus OH, and 106.7 KAZY Denver CO.
Transitioned to engineering, operations, and management in 1997 as A/V manager at The Longaberger company. Later becoming Chief Engineer at WHIZ AM/FM/TV Zanesville OH, Director of Engineering at WSFL TV Miami FL, Vice President of Technology at KERA TV/FM & KKXT FM in Dallas TX, Director of Engineering at KOB TV Albuquerque, Assistant Director of Video and Chief Engineer at New World Symphony on Miami Beach FL, Director of Engineering and Technology at WOIO/WUAB/WTCL TV Cleveland OH, before landing here at JCU as Blue Streak Media Director.
