Background

After graduating from high school in 1976, I entered the US Military Academy, graduating from there with honors in May 1980. I then entered active military duty and served in military stations in Texas, Kentucky and West Germany. I was promoted from 2nd Lieutenant through to Captain, commanding units in size from platoons of 40 soldiers up to companies in excess of 200 soldiers. Departing active duty in 1989, I joined The Lubrizol Corporation as a Sales Manager for Middle East markets. My career with Lubrizol lasted for 12 years and included an ex-pat assignment in Vienna Austria where I sold into the Russian market. I left Lubrizol from a marketing position in 2001 and joined STERIS as an international sales manager. I served in various capacities until I was promoted to VP of Asia Pacific Healthcare. I left STERIS in 2010 and joined US Endoscopy as Director of International Sales. I left that company in 2012 and eventually joined The Elco corporation as an international sales manager. When Elco was purchased by Italmatch Chemicals in 2017, I was promoted to VP of Sales and Marketing for the Lubricant Performance Additives business unit. I served in that capacity until my retirement in October 2023.
