Background
I am a Registered Nurse with 23 years of experience in Emergency Nursing, including 19 years serving as an Assistant Nurse Manager in a fast-paced Emergency Department. Throughout my career, I have been committed to providing exceptional patient care, supporting my team, and fostering a collaborative environment where both patients and staff feel supported and empowered.
For the past 17 years, I have been an instructor with the American Heart Association, teaching Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Education has always been a passion of mine, and I’m proud to help healthcare professionals strengthen their skills and confidence in life-saving interventions.
I also serve as an Allison Rose Foundation Instructor, providing allergy awareness education and training on the use of epinephrine in schools, restaurants, and other community settings. This role allows me to extend my impact beyond the hospital and contribute to safer environments for individuals with severe allergies.
In addition, I work as a clinical instructor, guiding nursing students through both psychiatric and medical-surgical rotations. Helping future nurses grow in knowledge, professionalism, and clinical judgment is one of the most rewarding aspects of my career.
With a deep commitment to patient safety, education, and leadership, I continue to dedicate myself to advancing emergency nursing and supporting the next generation of healthcare professionals.
Areas of Expertise
With extensive expertise in critical care, I bring a deep understanding of complex, high-acuity patient needs and the ability to remain focused and effective in the most challenging situations. My passion for education drives me to empower both seasoned clinicians and emerging nurses through hands-on instruction, mentorship, and evidence-based guidance. At the center of my practice is compassion, a commitment to connecting with patients, families, and colleagues with empathy, respect, and genuine care. Together, these values define my approach to nursing education, shaping every interaction and elevating the quality of care I strive to provide.
