Sheila E. McGinn, PhD (Northwestern University, 1989), is Emerita Professor of New Testament and Early Christianity at John Carroll University and General Editor of the monograph series Biblical Studies from the Catholic Biblical Association. Recent major publications include I Love to Tell the Story: The Gospel of Matthew for the Twenty-First Century (Wipf & Stock, 2026), the commentary on Paul’s Letter to the Romans in Gina Hens-Piazza, Donald Senior, Barbara Reid, and John J. Collins, eds., The Jerome Biblical Commentary for the Twenty-First Century, Third Fully Revised Edition (Bloomsbury, 2021); The Jesus Movement and the World of the Early Church (Anselm Academic, 2014); and By Bread Alone: The Bible through the Eyes of the Hungry (Fortress, 2014; co-edited with Lai Ling Elizabeth Ngan and Ahida Calderón Pilarski).
