Rooms & Facilities

Students stay in Murphy Hall, with options for double rooms, single rooms, and suites. Bathrooms are primarily communal, with single bathrooms available throughout the building. Lounges and study spaces are used for evening programming.

Dining

Residential students receive breakfast, lunch, and dinner in Schott Dining Hall, plus snacks throughout the day. Blue Streak Dining accommodates most dietary restrictions—list any needs in your application.

Supervision & Safety

Residence halls are staffed by trained professional staff and Summer in The Heights Student Counselors. JCUPD (JCU Police Department) maintains a 24/7 presence on campus.

Packing

Bring comfortable clothing, walking shoes, a blanket and pillow, toiletries, and a cell phone with charger. See our Full Packing List for details.

Roommates

You may request a roommate by emailing summerintheheights@jcu.edu. After acceptance and payment, you'll receive an email with matching instructions.
