Background
Dr. Tate is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Ohio, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York, and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Wisconsin. Before joining the faculty at John Carroll University, Dr. Tate held positions at SUNY Brockport, Wellesley College, Marquette University, and the University of Florida. He has worked in community mental health, crisis response, university career services, academic college success coaching, and currently in private practice as a professional counselor. Dr. Tate has served in leadership roles with Chi Sigma Iota - Beta Chapter, National Career Development Association, Counselors for Social Justice, and serves on the editorial board for The Career Development Quarterly.Areas of Expertise
