Background
Dr. Jun is a native Clevelander and 1997 graduate of Saint Ignatius High School. Prior to joining the JCU Department of Philosophy in 2023, he served for 13 years as Professor of Philosophy and Coordinator of the Philosophy Program at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. He currently resides in the Old Brooklyn neighborhood on Cleveland's West Side.

Research Interests
Most of Dr. Jun's published scholarship to date has focused on political philosophy and the history of political thought with a particular emphasis on the theory and practice of anarchism. Since joining the faculty of John Carroll University his research interests have chiefly centered on the Catholic radical tradition (including the thought and practice of the Catholic Worker Movement), Zen Buddhism, and Jesuit philosophy from the sixteenth century to the present. He has authored and edited 10 books alongside several articles, book chapters, and reviews.
