Flexible Format and Schedule

M.Ed. Specialization Options
As part of the Advanced Studies Master in Education (M.Ed.) program, you can pursue one or more specializations to align with your professional goals. You can also choose a Master of Arts (M.A.) pathway, which includes a research component not required for the M.Ed.
Provides an overview of student development and an exploration of developmental issues and environmental obstacles that can interfere with optimum growth and development.
Offers an in-depth preparation in literacy, reading assessment, and diagnosis of reading programs. This specialization can lead to recommendation for the State of Ohio Reading Endorsement.
Provides preparation for facilitating interventions, evaluating support systems, and planning appropriate follow-up services and continuing care for those experiencing substance use disorders.
