What it is

See the program. Meet the faculty. Ask your questions.

Spend an evening with the people who run JCU’s Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis — and the students learning in it. There’s no better way to decide if the program is right for you.

You’ll meet Program Director Dr. Maria Helton, sit in on a live class presentation from current students, and hear about admission, supervision, and financial aid from the people who’ll walk you through it. An optional campus tour is included.

If you’re considering a Fall 2026 start, this is your chance to see the program firsthand before the August 1 application deadline.

Your evening

What to expect.

A relaxed, structured evening built to answer the questions a brochure can’t.

  1. 4:15 – 5:00 PM

    Check-in & campus tour

Arrive at Dolan Science Center, grab a light dinner, and take an optional brief campus tour. Meet other prospective students and our admission team.

  2. 5:00 – 5:30 PM

    Information session

Hear directly from Program Director Dr. Maria Helton about the master’s program, the admission process, the supervision coordination pathway, and financial aid next steps. Bring your questions — this is the session that’s hard to replicate over a Zoom call.

  3. 5:30 – 6:00 PM

    Experience a class

Current students will present a case from their placement site — a real example of behavior-analytic services in practice. The centerpiece of each presentation is a concept map connecting key behavioral concepts and principles to the realities of the case. You’ll see how JCU students think, present, and integrate theory with real-world clinical work.

  4. 6:00 – 6:30 PM

    Q&A and conversation

Stay as long as you’d like to ask follow-up questions, connect with faculty and current students, and talk through next steps with admission staff.
