John Carroll University wide receiver Tyren Montgomery ’25G has signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Tennessee Titans following the conclusion of the 2026 NFL Draft.
Montgomery’s signing marks a significant milestone for John Carroll Blue Streak football and reinforces the program’s long-standing tradition of developing high-level talent. The Titans’ front office includes John Carroll alumnus Dave Ziegler, Assistant General Manager, who has more than 15 years of NFL personnel experience and previously served as General Manager of the Las Vegas Raiders from 2022-23.
A standout at wide receiver, Montgomery emerged as one of the most dynamic playmakers in Division III football. Over his career, he totaled 2,599 receiving yards and 32 touchdowns, earning All-American recognition for his performance and consistency. His breakout performances at pre-draft showcases, including the Senior Bowl, elevated his profile among NFL scouts and executives.

Montgomery’s path to the NFL is a unique one. Originally a basketball player, he later transitioned to football and quickly became one of the most productive receivers in John Carroll’s program history.
His selection continues John Carroll’s legacy of producing NFL talent, joining a distinguished list of alumni who have competed at the professional level.
