Recruiting Guidelines
The JCU Center for Career Services adheres to the NACE Principles for Professional Practice and expects employers who engage with our students to do the same. These practices are designed to provide career services practitioners and college recruiting professionals with basic precepts for career planning and recruitment. NACE advises that employers provide candidates with a minimum of two weeks to consider job or internship offers. This approach prevents undue pressure, minimizes reneges, and allows students to make informed career decisions. We expect employers to allow this reasonable deadline and be open to reasonable requests for timeline extensions.
We work alongside faculty and staff across campus to weave career development into the student experience — from first-year courses through senior capstones.
