The Division of Mission & Identity ensures the formation of students, staff, faculty, and alumni through the offices of Campus Ministry, Mission & Identity, and the Ignatian Spirituality Institute.

Our Mission

As a Jesuit Catholic university committed to academic rigor, inclusive excellence, and care for the whole person, John Carroll inspires individuals of intellect and character to learn, lead, and serve in the community and throughout the world.

About Us

The Office of Mission and Identity provides and coordinates a wide variety of informational and formational programs for faculty and staff to prepare them to accompany our students toward a hope-filled future.

Campus Ministry

Campus Ministry is the campus hub for a faith that does justice. Located off the Atrium of the Lombardo Student Center, it is home to St. Francis Chapel, The interfaith Commons, the Interfaith Prayer Room, The Gratitude Corridor, and the Schell Conference Room. Other spaces include the Murphy and Rodman chapels.

Ignatian Spirituality Institute

The Ignatian Spirituality Institute trains spiritual companions and directors in a two-year training program. These directors provide spiritual direction for faculty, staff, and students.
