WHO: This performance is presented with the support of the Japan Foundation, the Japan Association of Northeast Ohio (JANO), the Japan America Society of Northeast Ohio (JASNO), the Nippon Taiko Association & the Ishikawa Taiko Foundation and the John Carroll University Liturgical Music and Musical Arts Program. John Carroll University is the last venue for the Yuzuriha Taiko troupe. Their U.S. tour included Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terra Haute, Indiana, and Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio. WHAT: John Carroll University’s East Asian Studies Program presents Yuzuriha Taiko, a group of women who perform Japanese music with drums and the bamboo flute. Yuzuriha is comprised of four women. The group performs traditional Japanese music, incorporating original compositions by the well-know composer and musician, Shunsuke Kimura. WHERE: John Carroll University 20700 N.
