John Carroll University is proud to introduce its inaugural cohort of Streaks on the Rise, a distinguished list of 27 young alumni who graduated within the last decade and are already making a meaningful impact across industries and communities around the world.
Representing the next generation of Blue Streak excellence, these alumni span industries from professional sports and business to medicine and law. Their work is shaping organizations such as NASA, the Cleveland Guardians, Saturday Night Live, OpenAI, the FBI, and the NFL, among others.
The 2026 Streaks on the Rise cohort will be formally recognized during Homecoming Weekend on October 16-17, during an on-field celebration at the homecoming football game and during the Alumni Awards Dinner on October 17.
The initiative was established by the John Carroll Alumni Association Board in collaboration with President Alan R. Miciak, the Office of Alumni Relations, and university faculty and staff.
“What makes the Streaks on the Rise initiative so special is that it was developed by our Alumni Association Board,” said Rory O'Neil '06, Executive Director of Alumni Engagement.
“This is a great example of Blue Streaks celebrating and encouraging fellow Blue Streaks. We look forward to annually highlighting an impressive group of young alumni that will inspire all 45,000 Carroll alumni."
Honorees are selected based on three pillars of excellence: strong adherence to Jesuit Values as men and women for and with others; exceptional professional and community achievements; and exemplification of leadership attributes such as ambition, empathy, humility, and compassion. Eligible alumni graduated from John Carroll in the last decade (2015-2025) and are in good standing with the university.
“The Streaks on the Rise program sends a clear message to all 45,000 Carroll alumni around the world,” said Dave Robinson '74, President of the John Carroll Alumni Association. “The younger generation of Blue Streaks is just as impressive, just as dynamic, and just as inspirational as those who have come before them.”
Looking ahead, all John Carroll alumni will have the opportunity to nominate fellow graduates for this prestigious recognition.
