Dr. Martina Moore is Department Chair and a full-time faculty member in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program at John Carroll University, where she is also a proud alumna.

Areas of Expertise

Dr. Moore’s areas of specialization include substance use disorders, couples and family counseling, and strategies for engaging underserved and minoritized populations in behavioral health services.

Research Interests

Dr. Moore’s research focuses on substance use disorders, particularly opioid use disorders, with emphasis on treatment engagement, culturally responsive care, and behavioral health workforce development. Additional interests include service coordination, integrated care models, and family- and systems-based approaches to treatment.
