David Clifford, Ph.D., an adjunct professor of Finance and Entrepreneurship at JCU's Boler College of Business, is using his spring break to rebuild an elementary school in a Honduran village.

Clifford has spent the last decade visiting Flora Azul Village to teach entrepreneurship. During a trip last November, he learned teachers were dealing with crumbling walls and a leaking roof in their one-room school.

Clifford founded the nonprofit 'For the Greater Good' and raised ten thousand dollars through the organization to rebuild the school in Flora Azul. Four JCU students joined their professor, assisting in rebuilding the school. Clifford says rebuilding the school has been challenging in the remote village, but the work is gratifying.
