Northeast Ohio Colleges and Universities Sponsor Speaker Series on the U.S Presidential Race:

"Politically Speaking"

Four local public forums feature nationally known political experts

CLEVELAND, OH – Area colleges and universities have formed a partnership to present “Politically Speaking,” a series of community forums to discuss the upcoming general election and Ohio’s storied role in choosing the next U.S. president. Nationally recognized political journalists and educators will serve as keynote speakers for each of the four events, which will be held on local college campuses.

“Politically Speaking” is sponsored by Baldwin Wallace University, Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland State University, Cuyahoga Community College, John Carroll University, Kent State University and The University of Akron. Upcoming event details are below:

  • Friday, February 26, 7 p.m. – Ohio’s Role in Choosing Our President  Cleveland State University, Main Classroom Auditorium, 1899 East 22nd St. Speaker: KYLE KONDIK, managing editor, “Sabato’s Crystal Ball,” the University of Virginia Center for Politics’ nonpartisan newsletter. Panel discussion moderated by Jo Ann Davidson, former Speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives. Future events will explore “Why Polling Still Matters” at Kent State University on April 25, and “The Economic Impact of National Political Conventions” at Cuyahoga Community College in June.
