The Nonprofit Administration Program is pleased to announce that we have become members of two associations for nonprofit academic programs: The Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action (ARNOVA) and the Nonprofit Academic Centers Council (NACC). We look forward to working with these two organizations and connecting with other members to elevate our work in educating and inspiring the future leaders of the nonprofit sector!

Read more about ARNOVA and NACC below:

ARNOVA:

“The Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action (ARNOVA) is a diverse community of scholars, educators, and practice leaders that strengthens the field of nonprofit and philanthropic research in order to improve civil society and human life.” “ARNOVA brings together both theoretical and applied interests, helping scholars gain insight into the day-to-day concerns of third-sector organizations, while providing nonprofit professionals with connections to research they can use to improve the work of their organizations and the quality of life for citizens and communities.”

NACC:

The Nonprofit Academic Centers Council (NACC) was founded in 1991 by leaders of university-based nonprofit academic programs who wanted to share information and ideas to strengthen their programs and advance the field of philanthropic and nonprofit sector education within their institutions and beyond. Central to building the field is recognition and support by institutions of higher education that philanthropic and nonprofit sector studies are a vital component of the education, research and community engagement that they undertake. NACC member programs are committed to the advancement of nonprofit and philanthropic studies programs that are recognized by their host institutions as a focal point of nonprofit sector activity.”
