Students in Mr. Dailey’s Auditing course had the incredible opportunity to visit RPM’s international headquarters in Medina to perform the risk assessment phase of an external audit. Prior to the visit, students researched RPM, analyzed its financial statements, and listened live to the company’s first quarter analyst call. At RPM, students learned more about the company’s operations, current events and future plans, and had opportunities for questions. After time back on campus to prepare, student audit teams presented what they identified as likely sources of potential misstatement as well as the top risks and issues for the 2019 audit to RPM management and received valuable feedback. Thank you to Joe Toula and Mike Spinelli, dedicated John Carroll alums, for making this outstanding learning experience possible!
