Biography

As a lecturer, I bring to my work in both Theology and School Counseling to the classroom.  Before coming to John Carroll, I worked as a high school religion teacher, campus minister, and guidance counselor.  In graduate school, my research focus was Liberation Theology in Central America, specifically in El Salvador. These studies have led to continuing engagement and relationships with Salvadorans in my personal and professional life.  Currently my research interests include Practical Theology and exploring how religious identities and practices are a part of the college experience for students.

Outside of work, I volunteer as a mentor and ESL tutor with Refuge Response and as a Parent Engagement Coordinator for Campus International School.
