Excellence in Teaching Award (Baldwin-Wallace), Distinguished Faculty Award (Ursuline College), Publications (IBM), Healthcare-related research (IBM).

What is the most memorable college course you took and why?

My first computer course in Fortran programming. It caused me to change majors from chemistry to computer science.

What made you decide to go into your field?

Working as a consultant for a large multi-national corporation offers immense variety of assignments; you're always learning.

What attracted you to John Carroll University?

I've taught as an adjunct at other colleges/universities and wanted to try a full-time position especially after retiring from IBM.

What are some of your favorite pastimes, interests, or passions outside of work?

Working on sports cars and motorcycles.

What are you most looking forward to this year?

Working with undergraduate students and conveying the excitement I have for the field of computer science.

Is there anything else you would like us to know?

My wife and I adopted our daughter from China in 1997 and today she's a graduate student at JCU.
