Jamie Greenwolf M.Ed. - Assistant Director of Student Wellbeing
Jamie is the Assistant Director for Student Wellbeing. He received his Master in Education from James Madison University in College Student Personnel Administration and received a Bachelor’s in Communication from Eastern Michigan University. He started working at John Carroll in the Spring of 2018 and is the main supervisors to the Peer Health Advocates. He is passionate about healthy relationships, decreasing the stigma around mental health, and social justice. In his free time he likes to spend time with his kid, Oliver, and spouse, Amber, as well as gardening, woodworking, and spending time outside.

Cherelle Simmons - Graduate Assistant
Cherelle is the Graduate Assistant for the Wellness Center, majoring in School Counseling. Cherelle has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Akron in Psychology. Her passion for children and mental health impacted her decision to continue her education. Her career focus is promoting equality and unbiased opportunities to children of diverse backgrounds in the school system. In her free time she enjoys family and friends, hosting game nights, nail salon trips, traveling and roller skating.

Lindsay Carr - Graduate Assistant
Lindsay is one of the graduate assistants for the Wellness Center, receiving her masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She graduated from The Ohio State University in 2022 with a bachelors in psychology. Lindsay is very passionate about an array of topics regarding mental health, but she is specifically interested in depression, anxiety, body image, self esteem and disordered eating. Her future career aspirations include focusing on adolescent populations within the foster care system or individuals on the Autism Spectrum. In her free time she enjoys watching football, staying up to date on fashion trends, trying new recipes, and traveling whenever she gets the chance.

Why did you want to be a PHA? I am very passionate about helping others in any way I can, and I want to be able to help the JCU community become a more healthy environment. I also think it is very important to talk about our issues because there is a negative stigma around issues that many people face.

Topics of Special Interest: I am really passionate about relationships. I think whether it's friendships, family relationships, or romantic relationships, they have a large effect on your life. it's important to learn the tools to a healthy relationship and creating a strong support system for yourself.
Why did you want to be a PHA? I love helping people and watching them grow! College can be hard, and so can life, and it's important to know that there are resources and people who are there to help support you and walk with you through whatever you may be going through.

Topics of Special Interest: I am mainly passionate about physical health. Physical wellness has played a substantial role in my life as an athlete.
Why did you want to be a PHA? Now that I'm in my second year as a PHA, I certainly recognize there is a need for dialogue in the atmosphere of physical, mental, and relational health. Just this past summer, I lost two friends to battles with mental health. I saw first-hand how these losses impacted the families and the community as a whole. It needs to be easier for us to access resources that can positively impact our wellness. I want to be able to help those around me, and help facilitate necessary dialogue on these issues to the students of John Carroll.
