John Carroll University is pleased to announce the recipients of its prestigious Alumni Medal including:
- Michael Anderson, MD ’86 (Washington D.C.), senior advisor at Children's National Hospital and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS);
- Frank Grace ’63 (Chianti Fl, Italy), owner and founder of Il Molino di Grace winery and co-founder of Team Relations;
- COL. Mary Jo (Casserly) Hogan ’76 (Annapolis, MD), retired colonel of the United States Army;
- Bruce Jarosz ’72 (Mentor, OH), retired CFO, current senior advisor of IMCD US (formerly M.F. Cachat);
- David Robinson ’74 (Bloomfield Hills, MI), retired director of market operations for Hospice of Michigan;
- Timothy Russert ’72 (posthumously), journalist and former host of NBC’s “Meet The Press.”
The Alumni Medal is the highest award given annually by the John Carroll University Alumni Association. It recognizes an individual’s accomplishments in their profession, contributions to their community, exemplary family and personal life, and dedicated service to John Carroll University post-graduation.
The JCU Alumni Association also named Stacey Diane Arañez Litam, Ph.D. ’10, ’14G (Westlake, OH) and Eugene Malinskiy ’08 (Mayfield Heights, OH) as its Young Alumni Award recipients. Litam, a nationally recognized educator, researcher, clinical counselor, and Assistant Professor of Counselor Education at Cleveland State University. Malinskiy, the CEO and cofounder of Lazurite, a healthcare and innovations company.
Other honors include Rosanna (Violi) Hoelzle ’07 (Toledo, OH) as the Rev. William M. Bichl, S.J. Alumni Volunteer Service Award recipient for her dedicated volunteer service to the JCU Alumni Association, Joseph Miller, Ph.D. ’59 (South Euclid, OH), who will receive the Rev. Casey Bukala Distinguished Service Award, honoring a JCU graduate who has served the University with distinction as a member of its faculty or staff.
