Nikki Marzano- Director of Career Services

Nikki began her career with John Carroll’s Career Services in 2013 and has worn many hats over the years. She first worked as the internship coordinator and then transitioned to an employer relations role. In 2020, she became the director working with an exceptional team of professionals who make coming to work every day a blast. Prior to working in career services, she had a career in human resources and recruiting. Nikki holds a Bachelor of Arts from Bucknell University, where she double majored in Psychology and East Asian Studies. Her Master of Arts degree is in Organizational Management from George Washington University. The students are why Nikki (and the whole team!) do what they do; they also are Nikki’s favorite part of the job. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and settling in with a good book.

Logan joined Career Services in August 2016 after working at Kent State University and North East Ohio Medical University. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Human Services and a master’s in Counseling as well as an ABD for a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision. Logan’s favorite part of his job is the relationships he’s built with students and colleagues. He is an avid music and Cleveland sports fan and enjoys going to shows and watching sporting events with friends.

Nicki has worked at John Carroll Career Services since 2021, beginning as a Career Advisor before assuming her current role. Nicki Holds a Master's degree in Higher Education Administration and Student Affairs, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Interpersonal Communication, both from Kent State University. Nicki’s favorite part about working in Career Services is seeing the students and alumni she helped get the internship, job, or into the graduate school program they wanted. Nicki is a Playhouse Square season ticket holder and enjoys musical theatre and the arts.

Corie Steinke | Associate Director, Employer Programming

Corie started at John Carroll in March 2025 and has spent 13 years in higher education. Prior to JCU, Corie has worked primarily in Student Life, providing leadership in student activities and campus programs, residence life, commuter student life, leadership development, student organization development, new student orientation, campus conduct, and civic engagement programming. Most recently, Corie served at the University of Akron as the Assistant Director for Civic Engagement and Leadership Programs, and she also has professional experience in full-time church ministry.

Corie has a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Heidelberg University in Tiffin, Ohio and a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration and Student Personnel from Kent State University. What excites Corie most about this new venture is the opportunity to bring students and employers together to help all Blue Streaks reach their goals. Corie is an extrovert, so after work you will catch her out and about, trying new things with her friends and family. Ellen joined Career Services in September 2024. Before joining the team, she was a job coach at West Side Catholic Center and a mental health counselor for OhioGuildstone. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Dayton. In her free time, Ellen enjoys going on camping trips, knitting, and spending time with her family. Ellen's favorite part about working in Career Services is meeting with students and enjoying the beautiful campus.

Roseanne joined Career Services in November 2015, and before that, she worked as an Administrative Assistant for ReMax Traditions. She has an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. Directing students to where they need to go, solving problems, and engaging with students is Roseanne’s specialty and favorite part of the job. In her free time, Roseanne enjoys collecting children’s books, spending time outside, and being with her dogs and family.

Khoa joined Career Services as the new Graduate Assistant in August 2023, and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Fulbright University Vietnam. Khoa is currently in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at John Carroll, and his favorite part about his work at Career Services is getting to work closely with students to guide them in taking steps to advance their career. Khoa loves playing chess, tennis, going rock climbing, singing, and listening to music.
