Fall 2022 Alumni Bios
Ashley Abbott (Scapillato) '14 is working as a Student Life Coordinator within the Office of Student Affairs at University at Buffalo's School of Law. She received her Master's in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration from the University at Buffalo in May 2020. While at John Carroll, she was a Finance Tutor and worked in Residence Life, studied abroad in London, participated in an Immersion program to Nicaragua, and majored in Finance with minors in Economics and International Studies.
Marissa Buttazzoni (Golem) '19 is working as a second grade teacher at Saint Albert the Great school in North Royalton, OH. While at John Carroll, she was a member of the Women's Varsity Soccer Team as well as many other intramural sports such as volleyball and softball. She also went on an immersion trip to the Dominican Republic where she taught children there since they are less fortunate and unable to attend school.
Isabella Carlozzi ‘21 is in her first year of a Direct-Entry Doctor of Nursing Practice program at Boston College. In just four years she will have earned a Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree, a Registered Nurse (RN) license, the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree, and the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) license and certification. While at John Carroll, Isabella majored in biology and held a minor in leadership. She was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta, the Leadership Scholars program and the Student Union Programming Board (SUPB).
Joe Clark ‘21 majored in English Literature with a certification in AYA Education. Currently, Clark is teaching K-8 physical education at Sts. Joseph and John School in Strongsville, Ohio, while facilitating the school’s Power of the Pen
program to keep his English passion alive. On the side, Clark works on his podcast called “Chats with Clark” and the accompanying apparel brand entitled “Smile Like You Mean It”!
Madi Daube ‘22 majored in Marketing and Supply Chain Management and a minor in Leadership Development. Currently, Madi is pursuing her Masters of Business Administration and works for John Carroll University as a Marketing and Communications Specialist. Madi specializes in project management and oversees the timelines, organization, and completion of projects for a variety of departments on campus. As a student at John Carroll, she was a member of the Leadership Scholars Program, worked as a Tour Guide, was actively involved in several organizations, and worked as an intern for three different companies.
Mary DiDonato ’22 is in her first year at Duquesne University Kline School of Law while also working as a student ambassador for the school. While at John Carroll, she studied Forensic Psychology, Sociology, and Criminology.
Elizabeth Evankovich ’19 earned her CPA license and works at Ernst & Young as a Senior in their Assurance practice. In her free time, she also sings with the Cleveland Orchestra Choir. While at John Carroll, she majored in accountancy and then earned her Masters in Business Administration (M.B.A.). Additionally, she was an active member of the Honors Program, Order of Omega Honors Fraternity, Kappa Alpha Theta sorority, Institute of Management Accountants, and a cantor at Sunday mass. Elizabeth is engaged to Chase White ’17 in July 2023.
Nicholas Falbo '22 recently graduated from John Carroll with a degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Leadership Development. Since then, Nick has obtained his CSCS certification and now attends the University of Pittsburgh, where he is studying to obtain his Master of Science in Sport Science. While in Pittsburgh, he is also interning at Carnegie Mellon University within their strength and conditioning department. After completing his masters degree Nick plans pursuing a career in the strength and conditioning/sport science field. While at John Carroll, he was a member of the actively involved in the Exercise Science Club.
Colleen Gong '15 earned her J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law and is working as an Associate Attorney at FGKS Law in Sidney, OH, concentrating on labor and employment law in addition to corporate and commercial work. The highlight of Colleen’s legal career occurred as a result of her fellowship with the Ohio Innocence Project, where she assisted in a case that resulted in the exoneration of a wrongfully convicted Cleveland man. While at John Carroll, she was a member of the Honors Program, worked as a Tour Guide, was actively involved in Campus Ministry and the Immersion Program, and studied History and Classics. She married Michael Gong ‘15 in March 2020 and in August 2022 the two welcomed their first child, Thomas (future class of 2044!).
Christian Hipsher ‘20 earned a BSBA from JCU in Marketing and Supply Chain Management. He then went on to complete the MBA program in 2021. He took a role teaching business classes and coaching wrestling at Olentangy Orange High School in Columbus, OH. During his years at John Carroll, he was a member of the JCU Wrestling team and competed in supply chain case competitions. He is set to marry fellow JCU alum Ashley Adamczewski ‘20 in July of 2023.
Patrick Hiznay '17 earned his MBA from John Carroll University in 2018 and is a Data Consultant for MarshBerry, a Management Consulting firm in the insurance industry. He supports the Merger & Acquisitions team by creating financial models to help firms perpetuate, grow organically, or sell externally to other organizations. While at John Carroll, Patrick majored in Finance with a minor in Leadership Development and was a member of the Finance Association, Carroll Ballers, and the Investment club.
Jared Ianiro ‘21 is working at KeyBank as an Operations Rotational Analyst in the Technology, Operations & Services department. He is part of a rotational program for recent college graduates to learn different sectors of the department. While at John Carroll, Jared was a member of the Varsity Men’s soccer team and studied abroad at Regent’s University in London. He studied Business Management and Human Resources with a minor in Leadership Development.
Freddy Keppler ’15 earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery and Master of Science degrees from The Ohio State University and graduated as a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honors Society. He is now working in an orthodontic private practice in Cleveland, Ohio. While at JCU, Freddy enjoyed participating in outreach opportunities aiding the underserved areas of Cleveland, intramural sports, and various campus ministry retreats like Manresa. As a Biology major and Leadership Scholar, he enjoyed being a teaching assistant for General Chemistry Lab as well as his mentorship in the Pre-Health Professions and Pre-Dental Clubs.
Kaeleigh Kirkwood ’22 is working toward her JD degree from the Thomas R. Kline School of Law of Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA where she is also serving as a Student Ambassador. Kaeleigh hopes to use her legal degree to advocate for others, specifically in the realm of healthcare. While at John Carroll, Kaeleigh was involved as a Peer Health Advocate, Leadership Coach, Philosophy for Kids Instructor, and Founder and President of John Carroll's Self-Care Club.
Laura Matteo '18 is working at Cuyahoga Arts and Culture as the Associate for Grantmaking and Communications, where she supports the administration of CAC's grant programs and manages the agency's online presence. Prior to her time at CAC, Laura held positions in Arts Administration at The Fine Arts Association and Cleveland Play House. During her time at JCU, she completed internships at Playhouse Square, Cain Park, The Musical Theater Project, and completed the Disney College Program. Laura was also a member of the Honors Program, Sweet Carrollines, and was involved in Campus Ministry.
Jasmine McCallum '22 majored in Psychology with minors in Leadership Development and Statistics. Currently, she is working as a Graduate Assistant for Commuter Services, Leadership, and New Student Orientation in the Office of Student Engagement. Jasmine is pursuing a master's degree in counseling in hopes to inspire others to improve their mental health and be more open about concerns in their relationships. While at John Carroll, she worked as an orientation leader, researched psychological concepts related to trauma, and was involved in the Alpha Sigma Nu and Psi Chi Honor Society.
Emily Mitchell ‘17 received her BS in Psychology at John Carroll and completed her MS in Social Administration in 2019 at Case Western Reserve University. She has previously worked as an outpatient therapist and clinical leader in education settings. Emily recently obtained independent licensure, giving her the title of licensed independent social worker (LISW). Emily is currently a Psychiatry Consult Liaison Social Worker at MetroHealth, assisting with psychiatric patients admitted to inpatient medicine at the main campus. She frequently uses her leadership skills, navigating patients of all socioeconomic backgrounds through various barriers in the health care system. While at John Carroll, Emily was an RA and founded the Stargazing Club.
Brandon Parr '16 is finishing up his Internal Medicine residency at University of Chicago NorthShore this year and will then assume the role of a primary care physician. He graduated medical school in 2020 from Campbell University in Lillington, North Carolina. While at JCU, Brandon served as President of the fraternity Sigma Phi Epsilon, started a legacy project known as Shampoo for the Red, White, and Blue that still continues annually, and was involved in neuroscience research at the Cleveland Clinic that led to publications.
Noah Paulsen ’20 is currently working for Applied Medical Technology, Inc. (AMT) in their Product Management division, where he engages with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure success with the line of products offered by AMT. He has also continued working as a freelance graphic designer/photographer/
Landon Rhoads ‘21 works on the production team for Bally Sports Ohio, as well as ESPN, NBATV, and NBC in a freelance role. He runs cameras and lights for pre/postgame shows for Cavaliers, Guardians, and Browns broadcasts. While at John Carroll, Landon was the Vice President of Eta Eta, Broadcaster for JCU hockey, and was actively involved with JCTV, hosting his own sports talk show.
Steven Schmitz '17, '18G started his career at PwC in the Department of Defense (DoD) sector, where he supported the United States Army in Business Process Improvement Initiatives. Later, he was a management consultant for DayBlink Consulting located in Washington D.C. There he provided advisory services within the Financial Transformation and Ventures arms of the company. Today, Steven works at Scott Madden Consulting out of Atlanta, GA and supports clients in business strategy and finance initiatives. Steven also volunteers at Wrestling to Beat the Streets DC, an organization dedicated to improving youth development and self-esteem while reducing juvenile crime through the sport of wrestling. While at John Carroll, he was involved as a Senior Resident Assistant, a member of the JCU Wrestling team a member of the Jazz Band, and active in service-learning. He majored in accountancy and minored in leadership development. Later, he earned his MBA with a concentration in international business.
Olivia Shackleton ‘20 is an Associate Producer for Fox News in Washington DC. She works on the weekend show Fox News Live which covers politics and breaking news. In her free time, Olivia loves seeing musicals at the Kennedy Center, trying new coffee shops and exploring the nation’s capital. Prior to her role at Fox, Olivia worked for EWTN News Nightly and was a fellow at Meet the Press. While at JCU, she majored in Communications and Political Science, and was heavily involved in The Carroll News.
Gabi Sergi '21 earned a degree in Communication with an Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) track from John Carroll University. She is working as Media Planner at Marcus Thomas, the country's fastest growing independent advertising agency, in Cleveland, Ohio. Gabi’s focus is primarily on digital media buying and planning across a breadth of channels to suit various client needs. While at John Carroll, she was a member and Marketing President of the Environmental Issues Group. Gabi also worked as a campus Lifeguard, a Marketing Intern for the Center for Career Services, and participated in the Immersion Program to the U.S- Mexico border.
Nicolle Simonovic '16 earned her PhD in Psychological Sciences from Kent State University and is currently a US Fulbright Scholar at the University of Haifa in Israel, where she is completing a postdoctoral research position. While at John Carroll, Nicolle served as president of the Environmental Issues Group and Psychology Club.
Morgen Staggers '20 was a Management and Human Resources major with a Leadership Development minor before earning her MBA. She is working as a Human Resources Generalist at GOJO Industries, the makers of Purell, working directly with Human Resources Business Partners to fulfill day-to-day strategy work including career guidance, talent development, and various employee relations work. Morgen advises several business leaders on talent and succession planning while driving strategy to ensure people are at the core of GOJO’s work. While at John Carroll, she held various full-time internships, worked as a Senior Resident Assistant, and served as a Boler Ambassador. Morgen is also busy planning a September 2023 wedding!
CLASS OF 2023 LEADERSHIP SCHOLARS
Joe Backus is a Data Science major and Leadership Development minor from Olmsted Falls, OH. He is a member of the JCU Cross Country and Track teams. Outside of school, Joe works at Second Sole and completed an internship with Applied Industrial Technologies. After graduation, Joe plans to find a position in the business intelligence field.
Gracie Bressoud is an Exercise Science major and Leadership Development minor from Columbus, OH. She is a member of the JCU softball team, a peer mentor for the COF STEM program, and has an on-campus job with the recreation department. This summer Gracie interned at Morris Chiropractic where she worked as a CA. After graduation, she plans on entering chiropractic school.
Colson Brown
Drezdan Dale is a Data Science major with minors in Statistics, Business, and Leadership Development from Peru, IL. He has worked for Fund That Flip since May 2021, starting as an intern and now working as a Business Intelligence Data Analyst. After graduation, Drezdan plans to continue working for Fund That Flip and begin working on a Masters degree in either Data Science or Statistics.
Miranda Day is an Early Childhood Education major with a Leadership Development minor from Pittsburgh, PA. On campus she has served as a Carroll Faith Community small group leader, worked at the JCU Call Center, and played in the JCU Wind Ensemble. Off campus, Miranda enjoys working as an after-school teacher at Hathaway Brown School.
Mary Evankovich is an Early Childhood Education major with minors in Leadership Development and Peace, Justice, and Human Rights from Pittsburgh, PA. She is currently serving as the Academic Development Director for her sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta and cantors at Sunday mass on campus. Additionally, Mary works as a Paraprofessional Substitute Teacher District and a Philosophy Intern with the JCU Philosophy Department. She spent her summer as a Lead Teacher at Kiddie Academy Daycare.
Tanner Gill-Snow is a Biology major with Leadership Development and Philosophy minors from Whitehouse, OH. He is on the JCU Men’s lacrosse team, served as the Senior Orientation Leader for New Student Orientation, and is a part of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee.
Rachel Halapchuk is an Industrial/Organizational Psychology major with a minor in Leadership Development from Pittsburgh, PA. Rachel is a member of the Student Leadership Team for CSSA, a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, and the Captain of the Women’s JCU Swimming and Diving Team.
Sarah Hanlon is an Exercise Science major with minors in Spanish and Leadership Development, from Orchard Park, NY. She is on the JCU Diving team while also working in the Campus Ministry Department. She leads both retreats and a Carroll Faith Community group while also serving as the President of the Respect for Life club. After graduation, Sarah plans on pursuing a career in the medical field.
Emma Kosicek is a Communication Advocacy major with minors in Political Science and Leadership Development from Ashtabula, OH. This past summer she worked for the Cleveland Museum of Art Philanthropy Department. Emma is also a on the Executive Board for the University Club, serves as a Leadership Coach, and is member of Chi Omega sorority and Student Government.
Megan Lane is a Marketing major with minors in Entrepreneurship and Leadership Development from Cleveland, OH. She is a Student Liaison for the Center for Service and Social Action, served as a Resident Assistant, an Orientation Leader, and a Facility Attendant for the Department of Recreation.
Adam Okuley is a Finance and Economics double major with minors in Spanish and Leadership
Development from Sylvania, OH. At JCU, Adam has volunteered his time in weekly service,
Campus Ministry events, and played several intramural sports. On campus, he is currently serving as the Director of Student Organizations for Student Government, and is excited to take part in the January Immersion Trip to El Salvador. Adam also is working part-time for Dana Incorporated.
Nora McKee is a Communications and Digital Media major with minors in Creative Writing, Peace, Justice, and Human Rights, and Leadership Development from Gibsonia, PA. She serves as a Tour Guide, an Orientation Leader, and a member of the Center for Service and Social Action Leadership Team. This year Emma will be working as an intern for the Ignatian Solidarity Network.
Caylin Perryman is a Sociology and Criminology major with minors in Forensic Psychology and Leadership Development from Honeoye Falls, NY. She is a member of Morgan’s Message on campus and a member of the JCU Women’s Lacrosse team. Caylin is planning to pursue a career in law enforcement after graduation.
Hannah Pollack is a Psychology major with a concentration in Mental Health Services and Leadership Development minor from North East, PA. In addition to participating in various leadership activities on campus, Hannah plans on getting her masters in Applied Behavioral Analysis after graduation.
Sam Rodgers is an Exercise Science major with a Leadership Development minor from Monclova, OH. Sam is on the JCU Men’s Lacrosse team and plans to attend medical school and pursue a career as an orthopedic surgeon after graduation.
Brenden Swann is a Sports Management major with a minor in Leadership from North Royalton, OH. Brenden is a team captain for the JCU Men’s Soccer team.
Brooke Talbot is a Marketing and Supply Chain Management double major with a Leadership Development minor from Erie, PA. On campus, she is the Vice President of Administration for Women in Business and works in the Office of Student Engagement. She was recently inducted into the Jesuit honor society Alpha Sigma Nu and participated in the North Carolina immersion trip.
Thomas Wetzel is a Finance major with a minor in Leadership Development from Willoughby, OH. He is currently work a finance co-op internship at Sherwin-Williams and hopes to secure a financial analyst position after graduation.
JP Yerian is a Marketing and Supply Chain Management double major with a Leadership Development minor from Poland, OH. He currently works for 17 River Grille as a line cook following his passion for cooking. After graduation, JP hopes to find a supply chain management position in the food retail field, starting his career with the desire to pursue a leadership position.
Katy Zoller is a Political Science major with minors in Spanish, Leadership, and PJHR. from Fairview Park, OH. She is a peer mentor with the Center for Diversity and Inclusion.

Sophia Alberico is a Sociology major with minors in Leadership Development and Psychology of Human Diversity from Erie, PA. On campus she is a Carroll Faith Community Leader, Tour Guide, Peer Success Advisor, and Student Government Senator. Sophia hopes to pursue a career in school psychology after graduation.
Caitie Berndtson is an Early Childhood Education major and Leadership Development minor from Buffalo, NY. She is a Senior Resident Assistant on campus and plans to teach elementary students after graduation.
Michael Bevington is a Finance major and Leadership Development minor from Cincinnati, OH. Michael is a member of the JCU Men’s Lacrosse team, was an Orientation Leader, a MELT Peer Mentor, and a leader for a Carroll Faith Community group.
Abby Birch is a History and Political Science double major with minors Leadership Development and Peace, Justice, and Human Rights from Wexford, PA. She works as a New Student Orientation Leader, an Intermural Scorekeeper, and a Recreation Supervisor for the Recreation Department. Abby is also a member of the Chi Omega sorority.
Zach Brinks is a Psychology major with minors in Exercise Science and Leadership Development from Cincinnati, OH. Zach is on the JCU Golf team and is a Carroll Faith Community leader. He also is a member of the student leadership team for the Center for Service-Learning and Social Action.
Claire Colbaugh is a Marketing and Supply Chain major and Leadership Development minor from North Royalton, OH. She is on the JCU Tennis team and is a member of the Alpha Kappa Psi business fraternity. Over the summer, she worked as a junior seasonal assistant tennis pro at Shaker Heights Country Club.
Jennifer Follmer is a Sports Leadership major and Leadership Development minor from Cleveland, OH. She is a member of the JCU Volleyball team and works in the JCU Sports Information department. Jennifer hopes to have a career with the NFL in the future.
Flora Frieden is Communications and Digital Media major with minors in Sociology/ Criminology and Leadership Development from Chardon, OH. She is an Event Coordinator for the University Club and is part of the JCU women’s Club Volleyball team. Outside of school Flora works alongside her father with his landscaping business.
Anna Glass is a Supply Chain Management and Marketing major with a minor in Leadership Development from Needham, MA. She is a member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority as well as a member of the Women’s Swimming and Diving team. Anna also works at Saxbys coffee on campus.
Leah Harrigan is an Integrated Marketing Communications Major with minors in a Leadership Development and Psychology from Orchard Park, NY. On campus, she is the Vice President of the Women’s Club Basketball Team, a Peer Health Advocate in the Wellness Program, a member of Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit Honor Society, a reporter for The Carroll News, and a member of the JCU Sports Information Department. After graduation, Leah hopes to work in the NFL as a sideline reporter.
Aeneas Hines is a Communications major with a minor in Leadership Development from Chicago, IL. He is a campus Tour Guide and works as a tennis coach and instructor for Western Springs Tennis Club.
Maddie Laird is an Early Childhood Education major with minors in Catholic Studies and Leadership Development from Pittsburgh, PA. She is a tour guide and Student Admissions Liaison, a campus ministry retreat team leader, a Carroll Faith Community leader and the Vice President of Marketing, and an executive member of Labre. Upon graduation, Maddie plans on pursuing careers as a Child Life Specialist or teacher as well as a youth minister.
Lexi MacDonald is a Biology major with minors in Spanish and Hispanic Studies, Chemistry, and Leadership Development from Clarence, NY. For the past two summers, she worked as an EMT at Six Flags Darien Lake and plays on the JCU Volleyball team. After graduation, Lexi plans to attend PA school after graduation.
Max Malley is a Political Science and Economics major with a Leadership Development minor from Westlake, OH. Max serves the Service Chair for Delta Tau Delta fraternity.
Sierra McCarroll
Sarah McAllister is an Integrated Marketing Communications major with minors in Entrepreneurship and Leadership Development from Pittsburgh, PA. On campus, she leads the Physical Health group for the Peer Health Advocates in the Wellness Center and is the PACE Chairwoman for Gamma Phi Beta sorority. This summer Sarah served as a Marketing and Development Intern for NAMI Greater Cleveland and she began writing a book on her struggles with anxiety through the JCU Muldoon Center for Entrepreneurship.
Jacob Ross is an Accountancy major and a Leadership Development minor from Independence, OH. He interned at KPMG this summer and recently accepted an offer to return to the firm after graduation.
Adam Salek is an Accountancy major with a minor in Leadership Development from Medina, OH. He is on the JCU Wrestling team, works as a Tour Guide on campus, and loves playing cornhole in his free time. He previous served on the SUPB Executive Board member and as an Orientation Leader.
Grant Sarnowski is a Finance major and a Leadership Development minor from Springfield, IL. Grant is a member of the JCU Tennis team, the Economic Society, and the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. (SAAC). During the summer, Grant worked as a teller for Illinois National Bank and he also works as a sportswriter for Wisconsin Sports Heroics.
Jacob Scaffidi is a Sports Leadership major with minors in Leadership Development and Business from North Canton, OH. He is a tour guide here at JCU and enjoys playing intramural sports. Jacob hopes to work in the front office of a professional sports team after graduation.
Jo Schierloh is a Sociology major with minors in Spanish and Leadership Development from Chicago, IL. On campus, she is an Event Coordinator with the University Club, a member of Kappa Gamma sorority, and a tour guide. Jo is planning to study abroad in Spain during her time at JCU with hopes of working in a Spanish speaking country as a counselor or social worker after graduation.
Anna Schramko is an Accountancy major and Leadership Development minor from Avon Lake, OH. She is a member of the Women’s Golf Team and Alpha Kappa Psi Business Fraternity. After graduation, Anna hopes to work in the sports industry.
Keeley Scullin is a Clinical and Counseling Psychology major with a minor in Leadership Development from Hermitage, PA. On campus, she is an Orientation Leader, a Student Liaison for the Center of Service and Social Action, a Recreation Supervisor for the Department of Recreation, and a Teaching Assistant for the Psychology Department. Additionally, she is the President of Best Buddies and Seeds of Hope, Secretary for Psychology Club, and a member of Psi Chi, the International Honor Society for Psychology. Off campus, Keeley is a Neuropsychological Assessment Intern at the Cleveland Clinic. Following graduation, she intends to continue her education in a doctoral child and adolescent clinical psychology or neuropsychology program.
Sara Sfeir is a Biology major with a Leadership Development minor from Beirut, Lebanon. Sara serves as president of the Pre-Surgical Club and a member of the Student Organization Budgeting Board. Sara is also a Student Liaison with JCU’s Center for Service-Learning and Social Action (CSSA). Whenever she can, Sara participates in service opportunities that JCU provides. After graduation, Sara hopes to pursue a career in medicine.
Tyler Siconolfi is a Finance major and a Leadership Development minor from Pittsburgh, PA. He is the Vice President of programming for Beta Theta Pi and is a founding member of the JCU Spikeball Club.
Logan Sindone is a Political Science Major and Leadership Development Minor from Cleveland, OH. He is currently a senator in Student Government, a Resident Assistant for Campion Hall, President of the College Democrats at JCU, and an Orientation Leader. Logan spends his free time volunteering for local political campaigns and is pursuing a career in campaign management and consulting.
Marie Steinkuhl is a Psychology major with a Neuroscience concentration and Leadership Development minor from Cincinnati, OH. She is a part of the JCU Retreat Team on campus, is a Choose Ohio First Scholar, and works as a Behavioral Health Technician with Building Blocks Therapy. After graduation, Marie plans to do a year of service.
Katelyn Testa is a double major in Math and Education with a minor in Leadership Development. She is a member of the JCU Club Basketball team and works as a math tutor in the Learning Commons as well as a serve in a restaurant off campus.
Ava Welchans is a Business Marketing Major with minors in Leadership Development and Italian from Wyckoff, NJ. She is a Financial Officer and Ambassador for Morgan’s Message, a member of the Student Organization Budgeting Board, and plays goalie for the JCU Women’s Lacrosse team.

Morgan Anderson is a Sociology and Criminology major with minors in in Leadership Development and Professional Writing from Ashtabula, OH. She is a member of Chi Omega sorority, the University Club Executive Board, is a Peer Success Advisor, and is a Service Liaison for CSSA.
Marko Babic is a Biology major with minors in Chemistry and Leadership Development Broadview Heights, OH. He is a member of Pre-Med Society and Pre-Surgical Club at John Carroll. After college, Marko plans to attend medical school.
Tyler Capron is a Sociology major and Leadership Development minor from Cuyahoga Falls, PJ. He is a Resident Assistant, a member of the University Club, and also works at Saxbys on campus. Tyler plans to pursue a career in college counseling following graduation.
Ryan Champa is a Marketing and Supply Chain double major with a minor in Leadership Development from Cuyahoga Falls, OH. He is a member of the JCU Cross Country and Track teams, where he was named the OAC Freshman of the year in Cross Country. After graduation Ryan plans on pursuing a career in the marketing field.
JJ Cuddy is a Finance and Economics major with a Leadership Development minor from Pittsburgh, PA. In his first year at JCU, he was a member of the Men’s Soccer Team and named to the Dean’s list both semesters. Outside of school, JJ enjoys reading, journaling, and listening to podcasts.

Aidan Dugan is an Early Childhood Education major and Leadership Development minor from Buffalo, NY. He is a member of the JCU Men’s Lacrosse team and volunteers with Boys Hope Girls Hope.
Lily Earley is a Biology major with minors in Leadership Development and Professional Healthcare Prep, from Pittsburgh, PA. She is a Resident Assistant, volunteers at the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, and is a member of the Pre-Surgical Club. After graduation, Lily plans on attending medical school.

Nicholas Graeca is a Biology major with a Leadership Development minor from DuBois, PA. He plays for the JCU Men’s Soccer team and plans to attend medical school after graduation.
MaryClaire Gregory is an Accountancy major and Leadership Development minor from Broadview Heights, OH. She is a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, serves on the Academic Affairs committee for Student Government, and is a team lead at Saxby’s on campus. Over the summer she worked as an audit intern for CBIZ MHM LLC.
Kara Grose is an Integrated Marketing Communications major with minors in Spanish and Leadership Development from Rochester, NY. On campus, she is the social media chair for PRSSA and interns with the Tim Russert Department of Communication. Kara hopes to study abroad during her time at John Carroll and plans to pursue a career in marketing.
Gia Hamed is a Political Science major with minors in Leadership Development and Peace Justice and Human Rights. She is the founder and current President of Students for Justice in Palestine, serves on the Student Organization Budgeting Board (SOBB), is a MELT mentor, and is an intern with Person 2 Person International. Gia also serves as a Democracy Fellow to help promote civic engagement on campus.

Diona Johnson is double majoring in Supply Chain Management and Marketing along with a minor in Leadership Development from Grosse Pointe, MI. She is currently a member of the Environmental Issues Club as well as working for both JCU’s Sports Information and as a Tour Guide.
Samantha (Sammy) Kuczynski is an Integrated Marketing Communication major with a minor in Leadership Development from Hinckley, OH. Around campus, Sammy works in both the Student Engagement and Digital Engagement Offices and participates in several clubs and intramurals. Outside of JCU, Sammy coaches tennis and volunteers for a non-profit organization, THRIVE Through Tennis.

Veronica Mikhail is a Biology major with a minor in Leadership Development from Cleveland, OH. Following graduation, she plans to attend medical school to become a cardiologist cardiologist.
Colin Moore is a Sports Leadership major with a concentration in Athletic Administration and a minor in Leadership Development from Columbus, OH. Colin is a member of the JCU Men’s Lacrosse team.

Amanda Pancake is a Biology major with a Leadership Development minor from Columbus, OH. She is a member of the JCU Women’s Golf team and the Ohio University’s Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine (OU-HCOM) Early Assurance Program. Amanda plans to pursue a career in medicine.
Evan Smith is a Professional Writing major with minors in Business, Creative Writing, and Leadership Development from Lyndhurst, OH. He is a member of the John Carroll Track and Field team and is also a member of Beta Theta Pi. Over the summer he participated in the John Carroll Labre homeless ministry program.
Grace Talbot is a Computer Science major with a Leadership Development minor from Erie, PA. On campus, she works for the Office of Student Engagement, is a member of Cru, and involved in Campus Ministry.
Vladimir Tchepak is a Biology major with minors in Chemistry and Leadership Development. He is a part of Pre-Med Society and Pre-surgical Club. After graduation, Vladimir plans on attending medical school to become a Cardiothoracic Anesthesiologist.
Yanni Volas is an Accountancy major with minors in Leadership Development and Data Analytics from North Canton, OH. He a member of the JCU Football team, a member of the Alpha Kappa Psi Business Fraternity, and is an Ambassador for the Boler College of Business.
Christian Watters is a Biology major with minors in Leadership Development and Chemistry from Bethpage, NY. He enjoys participating in intramural sports on campus and plans to attend veterinary school after graduation to become a wildlife veterinarian.

Nate Welch is a Cellular and Molecular Biology major with minors in Chemistry and Leadership Development from Columbus, OH. He is involved in the Black Students in Action, and plays several intramural sports on campus. Nate plans to attend medical school after graduation to become an ER Doctor.
Celeste Wellman is an Exercise Science major with a Leadership Development minor from Cleveland, OH. She is a liaison for the Center for Service-Learning and Social Action, works as a manager at McDonalds, and plans to pursue a career in athletic training after graduation.
Jett Wieber is a Psychology major and Leadership Development minor from Avon, OH. He is on the JCU Cross Country and Track and Field teams and is involved with the Student Athletic Advisory Committee.
Morgan Wieczenski a Middle Childhood Education major with a concentration in science and English, and a minor in Leadership Development from Pittsburgh, PA. Morgan is a member of the JCU Volleyball team.
Adrianna Zura is a Biology major with minors in Leadership Development and Chemistry from Broadview Heights, OH. Outside of school, Adrianna volunteers her time in numerous humanitarian efforts to aid the people of Ukraine. She plans on attending medical school after graduation.

Cameron Bell is a Political Science major with minors in English and Leadership Development from Copley, OH. She was a Co-Captain of her high school’s tennis team, the secretary of Girl Up, and a member of National Honor Society, Key Club, and Student Council. Outside of school she participated in competitive dance and taught junior dance classes.
Emma Boreman is a Biochemistry major with a minor in Leadership Development from Wooster, OH. In high school she was involved with many service organizations such as Interact of Rotary Club and many more and was a four year letter winner on the tennis team. At JCU, Emma is on the Women’s Tennis team and plans on joining a sorority. She plans on attending medical school after graduation.
Lydia Brouse is a Management and Human Resources major with a Leadership Development minor from Akron, OH. In high school, she was Coalition secretary, public service representative for Social Action Club, and secretary for the Speech and Debate team. She also played varsity tennis her junior and senior year.
Scotty Crawford is a Business major with a minor in Leadership Development from Canfield, OH. In high school he ran Cross Country, Indoor Track and Track and was a member of the Ohio Attorney General's Teen Ambassador Board. After graduation Scotty hopes to work in a marketing or finance position in the Cleveland area.
Ahmed Essa is a Finance major and a Leadership Development minor from Richfield, OH. Outside of school Ahmed works as an intern for The Solution Center.
Michael Filippelli is an Accountancy major with a Leadership Development minor from North Royalton, OH. In high school, he was a member of the football team and was an involved community member. He led numerous clubs and was a contributing writer for the school newspaper.
Joshua Flesher is a Biology major and Leadership Development minor pursuing a career in the medical field from Columbus, OH. In high school, he was on the men's soccer team, involved in HOSA (future healthcare professionals' organization), and a member of the National Honors Society. After graduation, he plans to attend medical school.
Danny Gibel is a Business major with a minor in Leadership Development from Westlake, OH. In high school, he was heavily involved with student broadcasting and is continuing that passion at JCUl by working for the Sports Information office and the WJCU radio station.
Alex Harb is a Cell & Molecular Biology major with a minor in Leadership Development from Parma, OH. In high school, he was involved in the National Honors Society, tutoring, History Club, and Discovery Center, while earning his black belt in karate.
Chad Harpster is a Business major with a Leadership Development minor from White Lake, MI. In high school he was heavily involved in student government as well as athletics. Chad also spent much of his free time volunteering working with the homeless in Detroit. He is a member of the JCU football team and wants to work in the sales management field after graduation.
Joseph Iberis is a Biochemistry major and Leadership Development minor from Poland, OH. In high school, he was captain of both the soccer and golf teams as well as president of Leadership. Joseph is a member of the JCU Men’s Soccer team and worked as a tennis coach in the summer. He plans on attending medical school after graduation.
Serine Jaffal is a Chemistry major with a concentration in Neuroscience and a minor in Leadership Development from Cleveland, OH. Throughout high school, Serine has held many leadership positions ranging from being on the board of Difference Makers, a mentorship program, to being the President of Key Club and Senior Class Vice President. She was also the Vice President of Model UN and was part of the National Honors Society and National Technical Honors Society, all organizations that helped spark her love for leadership and making a difference in the world through global health.
Kerry Kelly is an Undecided major with a Leadership Development minor from Pepper Pike, OH. Throughout high school, she was an active member of the Varsity Girls Golf, Mock Trial, Campus Ministry, Excel TECC: Studio Art and Design, the Writing Center, the Future Problem Solving Program International, and various other organizations. In her community, she avidly participated in service including volunteering at St. Vincent De Paul Food Kitchen, lectoring at Church, and going on an immersion trip to Campton, New Jersey.
Josephine Lawler is a Political Science major with a minor in Leadership Development from Hudson, OH. In high school, she was a part of Hudson Community First, a service organization which did volunteer events around the schools and the community, was the basketball and lacrosse teams, and in Service Learning. Outside of school, Josephine was heavily involved with the Hudson Kiwanis service organization and helped with youth basketball and lacrosse events. She is a member of the JCU Women’s Lacrosse team and plans to get involved in student government. After JCU, her plans are to attend law school and work on Capitol Hill.

Cameron Morrison is a Biology major with minors in Leadership Development and Chemistry from Canfield, OH. While in High School he was a member of the Canfield Model United Nations team, was treasurer of the National Honors Society chapter at Canfield, and was a squad leader, band manager, and tuba player in the marching band. He is is continuing to play the tuba as a member of the JCU Pep Band. Cameron plans to attend medical school after graduation.
Haley Nicholson is an Undecided Major with a Leadership Development minor from Pittsburgh, PA. In high school, she was captain of the varsity volleyball and softball teams and was a member of the National Honors Society. She is a member of the JCU Women’s Volleyball team.
Elaina Norris is an Exercise Science major with a minor in Leadership Development from Canton, OH. In high school she was a member of National Honor Society, women’s tennis, Safety City summer camp counselor, and student council representative. She plans to attend PA school after graduation.
Madelyn Null is a Cell and Molecular Biology major with a minor in Leadership Development from Kirtland, OH. Throughout high school, Madelyn was in the marching band, cheerleading, the National Honor Society, Leadership Lake County, and Key Club. Madelyn enjoyed being a competitive dancer growing up and still enjoys the art of ballet in her free time.
Madeline Otterman is a Biology major with a Leadership Development minor from Madison, OH. In high school she was a member of the show choir, National Honor Society, the track and field team, and the volleyball team. This past summer she had the opportunity to work as a camp counselor for the YMCA and led a volleyball skills clinic.
Owen Roberts is a Management and Human Resources major with a Leadership Development minor from Kent, OH. In high school he participated Cross Country and Track teams and several clubs. Owen is a member of the JCU Cross Country and Track and Field teams.
Jay Rinehart is an Education major with a Leadership Development minor from Bay Village, OH. In high school, Jay was captain of the baseball team, a member of National Honors Society, and on the Student-athlete leadership board at Bay. Jay has enjoyed volunteering in his community by helping with various youth sports teams and doing volunteer work at his church. Jay is on the JCU Baseball team and hopes to work as a high school history teacher after graduation.
